Ditched KCON for Comic Con and…i’m not sorry? 🫢

DEAR PATRONS! Some “exclusive”/early info for you all (my goal is to be less detailed about this encounter on public social platforms).

Sooo a friend of mine (the guy in the far right of this photo) offered me a free comic con ticket today and I couldn’t say no.

We went to “The Art of Scoring for Animation” panel, and Alex Seaver (aka Mako) was one of the panelists (since he writes music for LoL & Arcane). It ALSO turns out he’s from MY HOMETOWN CITY ANNNND MAJORED IN FRENCH HORN PERFORMANCE AT JULLIARD!!!!! We even played in the same youth orchestra (him, ~10 years before me).

After learning all of this info + the fact he co-composed NewJeans’ Gods, I ran up to him after the panel. Long story short: told him my background, asked him if he ever does video interviews & got his email in response! Fingers crossed he’s interested in accepting my interview request 🤞 (just sent an email).

I’m still freaking out :)

EDIT: The complete UNCUT interview with Mako will be dropping on Weds for our Star Idol tier+!!! Possibly my fav interview i've ever done!
