Art Preview: Redemption Storyline Spiral Path CG

We begin this month with some more upcoming art for the newest bit of writing in Penlight. The Spiral story path is built upon the fact that Kyou made some further bad decisions while trying to be better person than his earlier villainous actions suggested, and those decisions combine to ruin what's left of Kyou's reputation at the school. Friendless, humiliated and, as he is just told by the principal, suspended, Kyou is about to leave school for good when he spies an opportunity: Akiko slipping into the bathrooms by herself during lesson time.

Kyou, having abandoned all notion of bettering himself, makes the snap decision to follow her and stage an ambush, using the spiral-generating app on his phone to surprise her. Akiko is furious and has had quite enough of his lies and monstrous behaviour, so she yells at him to leave. However, as Kyou informs her in an eerily calm voice, her words and actions seem to be at odds as she holds fast to the mental conditioning he instilled in her yesterday: Her arms are pinned to her sides, like she's still obeying his voodoo phone suggestion from the day before, and her eyes are fixed to the spiral screen, taking in that relentless swirling pattern...

Akiko is horrified as she realizes Kyou's right: She's letting him get away with his cartoonish gambit and can feel herself dropping into trance in spite of herself. She tries to protest, but as Kyou brings a finger to stroke the top of his phone, Akiko moans as she feels a comforting presence of a hand stroking her head. As if she needed any more evidence she was under his power...

It's all too much, and Akiko helplessly admits that she wants him to do this to her. None of this would work without her willing consent after all, so it's the only logical conclusion...

With the student council president now fully under his spell and Kyou no longer bridled by his conscience, he sets to work on her mind to serve his own selfish desires...

Yeah, this one's evil, but it promises to look so good! Expect to see it in its full glory in next week's early access release!
