Hi, cakes! Welcome to 2022! We're kicking off the new year with more art for the new Redemption storyline path, where Kyou attempts to make things easier for himself by making further use of the penlight that landed him in so much trouble already.
After the drama of the week before, Kyou walks into school on Monday feeling semi-optimistic that things will start to settle down and he'll be able to focus on getting on with his life. However, he finds his new classmate Risa already waiting to tear a lump out of him when he arrives, blaming him for Hiroko breaking down during her weekend tennis tournament. Kyou's a little out of the loop on that, and before he can find out more Akiko arrives on the scene. The student council president attempts to mediate, but Risa has some choice words for her as well.
The pair of them argue and as things get more and more heated, Risa impulsively ends up slapping Akiko in the face, right as their homeroom teacher walks in to start the day.
Risa immediately regrets her actions, and Akiko feels guilty for her part in escalating things, but the damage is done and their teacher orders Risa out of the classroom to face punishment. It's only Monday morning, and it feels like a whole lifetime of hardship awaits Kyou and his well-meaning ally...
Our first early access release of the year will be pretty light on content, thanks to the Christmas break, but I'm pleased that there'll be at least this new artwork plus some further development of the story path it's part of to show for it. Look forward to its release in a few days~
