Art Preview: Redemption Storyline CG

Hiya, cakes!

We've got time for one last CG addition before Christmas, and I bet it'll be another popular scene. Even if like the last CG it requires a less ethical approach to get to in the game itself.

You see, this one appears during the Redemption storyline, which is reached when Kyou flirts with evil before trying to turn back before it's too late. Still, even though Kyou regrets what he did to his classmates, he still badly wants to impress his new acquaintance and student council president Akiko with his self-taught skills. Unfortunately it turns out trying to mesmerize someone without the cheat code of the penlight is a lot harder than it looks, especially when it's your first time and you're not entirely sure of what you're doing. Rather than admit defeat, Kyou gives in to temptation and brings his penlight out one more time, just to help Akiko fall into a trance state as he needs her to be. But it's okay! He won't abuse this power, and he only used it a little bit. Nothing can go wrong...

When Akiko returns to wakefulness, Kyou's happy to learn that she enjoyed the experience, but there's one more thing he wants to try with her before she has to leave for the day. While she was entranced, Kyou gave her a little reinduction trigger and he's eager to try it out. Akiko had agreed to this beforehand, but she's not sure how it's supposed to work so she's a little startled when Kyou suddenly shows his phone to her, with an animated black spiral shape playing on its screen.

Akiko finds the setup rather silly, seeing as it plays up on the very cartoonish preconceptions of this sort of thing that she mocked her classmates for having. Nevertheless, she almost immediately becomes sleepy from looking at it as she realises it's working on her. In almost no time at all her focus is completely captured by the silly spiral in front of her as she falls deeply back into trance, just as Kyou said she would. It works so well on her that Kyou has to worry if that bit of penlight he exposed her to earlier was maybe TOO effective. He starts to regret his actions yet again, but he can't dwell on it right now; first he has to take good care of his new friend and make doubly sure he doesn't hurt her. Not this time...

So yes, we should see this CG done in time for the next early access release due around Christmas time. Please look forward to it ^^
