Umu's Road to Kingdom Marathon: TOO 'Magnolia' Performance
Added 2020-06-27 13:00:03 +0000 UTCFor those who haven't watched any of my behind the scenes CMR deciding process videos yet, there are many things I look for in a song to choose whether it should appear on the series or not. In Magnolia, it has wonderful synth sounds/textures, and some surprising moments during the first third of the song. However, a lot of its progression is droning one note, and therefore doesn't have a continuous build or change of harmonic energy throughout. The majority of the reactors look for unexpected, unpredictable harmony in the instrumental and vocals, which leads me to vote a 'maybe' for this song. It has been moved to our 'not so sure list' (https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFw_XZtkCVMMt3F3O3jvbeYlUyGo8v2nX) for other graduated CMR musicians to vote on :)
