Styles of Communication from Commissioned Artists?

I'm curious, when you commission an artist, do you prefer them to speak/correspond more formally and professionally (precise word choice, no emotes)? Or do you prefer a more informal, casual approach (emotes, playful language)?

Neither one of these is inherently better or worse than the other, I just know that some people feel more confident in the artist's professionalism & respected by formal speech, and some people feel more relaxed & find the artist more approachable with casual speech.

I expect that the majority of people would prefer something in the middle, and I do try to incorporate both styles of communication when working with clients! But for the sake of seeing which style y'all lean towards, which one do YOU prefer?

Please comment how you like to be talked to by your commissioned artist! Any feedback is greatly appreciated. ^^ Especially from former clients of mine!

Les deux me vont très bien

I've found personally that it changes from person to person, particularly in how much I am familiar with that individual. If it's a one off artist, I prefer things to be clear so we both know what we're getting; they don't know me so they don't know what I intrinsically want. With someone I know well, it can be a lot more casual because we already are familiar with what we both like, so it's a lot more easy going already; being professional in that sense feels odd
