Hey I resent that slight about "our parents jazz", I mean resemble that remark. Lol! Although I'm more maybe the grand-folks era. Yeah the whole Krupa Sing, Sing, Sing into is epic but I liked his playing in smaller groups like the Benny Goodman trio/quartet,etc... He is a bit more "refined and complex". Also had some really good work with brushes. More that the things I already mentioned I have the greatest appreciate, when it comes to his musical style influence, for his echo back and accents with soloists. Drummers really weren't doing a lot of that in the 30's.
