Delta-00 (Wyvern) - orthographic drawing WIP & notes

After sitting on this for a while i decided to hammer on and get the sketch finished. technical drawing is not my strong point, but i needed to get this done in order to properly realise the design in 3D and make it easier on myself to draw it consistently in the future. also to prove to myself that i can draw like this, given the effort. by no means perfect, but the main thing is that it looks good enough at a glance. Below is the turnaround for the Wyvern's head:

I created a rough sculpture to help with the difficult shapes on the underside of the jaw. maybe having some proficiency in CGI modelling would be useful at this point, but i'll learn that... when i get around to it....

Below is the updated design on the folding wing mechanism. I almost couldn't figure out how to incorporate this into the original design, but i'm glad i could in the end since it's the meaning for the machine's nickname.

The wing is created from a folding, lightweight mesh that becomes sturdy + rigid when popped into place to form an aerofoil. This allows the Wyvern continued atmospheric flight. The wing is not fixed, meaning it can move its arms to achieve a very high level of manoeuvrability allowed by its special neural control interface. The middle can fold in half allowing it to still walk. Changing in and out between modes requires the Wyvern to stand on its rear legs, which is why the tail is important as a counterbalance.

I'll be glad to get this whole thing out of the way so i can move onto the designs of some of the other mechs i'm including (of which i will be expending a only a fraction of my effort lol)
