[Tools] Weapon - True Colors

I really like the Painted Arcana features, which lets you pre-draw a spell's area! It would be a pretty cool set-up for all sorts of missions, like luring the targets into certain areas, and have the benefit of not requiring concentration if you are prepared.

The larger paintbrush is uncommon among canvas artists, used primarily by master painters skilled enough to paint large murals. Such murals tend to be enormous, stretching across walls, ceilings, or even entire building facades. Few question the utility of such a large brush.

True Colors
Wondrous item, rare (requires attunement by a character proficient with painter's supplies)

You can use this paintbrush as painter's supplies for painting large surfaces. While attuned, you also double your proficiency bonus to ability checks made using painter's supplies. Creatures unaware of the paintbrush's properties initially perceive it as a simple tool and can use an action to recognize its true purpose by succeeding on a DC 15 Intelligence (Arcana or Investigation) check.

Brush With Death. While you hold this paintbrush, you can use a bonus action to stiffen its bristles into a pointed spear. While in this form, you can use it as a magic spear that grants a +1 bonus to attack and damage rolls. You can use another bonus action to soften the bristles.

Colorful Magic. This paintbrush has 5 charges for the following properties and regains 1d4+3 expended charges daily at dawn. If a property requires a spell save DC, it is 15.  

• Color Spray. While holding this paintbrush, you can use an action to cast color spray from it at up to 4th level without material components, expending a number of charges equal to the level of the spell. 
• Painted Arcana. Over the course of a minute, you can paint a closed shape on a surface that fits inside 20-foot square, provided you have paints to do so. This outline is clearly visible to any creature that sees it. You can then use an action to touch the outline and cast one of the following spells inside the enclosed outline, expending the necessary charges: entangle (1 charge), faerie fire (1 charge), grease (1 charge), silence (2 charges), spike growth (2 charges). Spells cast this way don't require concentration to maintain. The outline disappears after the cast spell ends, or 24 hours after it is drawn.
