I went to do an experimental moonlight shoot during a full moon on Maui for my book. I was meeting the model for the first time and we met in the dark which was pretty weird, first and last time I'll ever do that. Then a giant storm cloud promptly covered the moon before we even reached the location. I had bought a tripod that afternoon and it was built so poorly it wouldn’t hold my camera...

I recently acquired a broken Instax Mini from a friend and had the crazy idea of mounting it to my RB645. Unfortunately the 645 has an internal film plane and the design challenge was too difficult for the time I had to spare. I decided to instead design around the 67 frame. During my trip to Utah I shot a roll on a Nimslo 3D. This Camera divides two 35mm frames into four half frame shots per image. In other words you get 4 slightly parallax images every time you take a shot. Once the film is developed, I scan each individual frame. In photoshop I’ve created little moving Images out of the final shots. These images are hard to make! To see more, support me on the DEVELOP tier.

Little sneak peek of a recent journey I took out to the dunes near Joshua Tree with my friend, Rachel @radiatelove. I'd like to suggest that everyone climb a dune at sunset at least once in their life. We shot into the dying light and got lost searching for the car under the black new moon.
