[Infinity] Monster - Asynchronox Imp

I designed this imp mainly because I really wanted to make a Super Imp Position pun and I succeeded. 😎

This imp is a cute fight, sort of like how displacer beasts work, but with a guaranteed miss on the first hit. I'm in favor of designing smarter fights, so this simple one may nudge smart players to primarily use AoE effects to guarantee you hit both, or possibly make quick dart attacks to knock out one of the duplicates.

Extratemporal is going to be a new trait for a couple of these now. These are VERY situational, but does give it a little more flavor in case some wizard decides to cast time ravage on them or something.

With pale faces, disconnected floating tails, and translucent crystalline wings made of solidified chronal energy, the asychronox imp uncannily resembles a regular imp. However, they are neither a fiend nor do they hail from the plane of Cinderdeep, the home plane of devils. Rather, they are temporal shadows of imps given form in the Timeless Expanse, brought about by their undying lawful loyalty and devilish ambition. These extratemporal aberrations retain a link to the Finite Continuum, capable of siphoning a portion of that energy to manifest parallel versions of itself, simultaneously existing in two places at once.

Though they are not true devils, asynchronox imps still retain a measure of their original’s desires. Some travel throughout the Timeless Expanse in search of access to the Finite Continuum, pulling strings to aid their fellow fiends on the Material Plane. In rare cases, an asychronox imp discovers and crosses a breach into the Material Plane to further their superior’s original goals. The Infinity Guard continually patrol the Timeless Expanse to keep the imps in line.
