This shield is originally the face of the Apotheose Dial, a mythical artifact capable of sending its users through space and time. The shield is a powerful magic item in its own right, capable of changing dimensional lengths around its wielder.

Dimensional Sieve
Shield, very rare (requires attunement)

You have a +1 bonus to your AC while you wield this magic shield. This bonus is in addition to the shield's normal bonus to AC.

Distant Step. While attuned to this shield, you contract the fabric of space around you. Your speeds increases by 10 feet.

Manipulate Space. This shield has 5 charges for the following properties, and regains 1d4+1 expended charges daily at dawn. While holding the shield, you can expend the necessary number of charges to activate a property.

Alter Dimensions. As an action, you can expend 2 charges and cast enlarge/reduce (spell save DC 17), without providing somatic or material components. If you target yourself with the spell, damage does not break your concentration on it.
Fold Distance. You can use an action to bash a target within reach with this shield. Make a melee attack roll using Strength, adding your proficiency bonus with shields. On a hit, you deal force damage equal to 1d4 + your Strength modifier, and if the target is no more than one size larger than you, you can expend up to 3 charges to push it away from you. The target is pushed up to a distance of 15 feet for each charge you spend.

Apotheose Dial. This shield emits a low vibration while within 100 feet of the Chronostad Needle. This effect is suppressed when both objects are physically combined.
