What a blast to the last for me. When I was really young I loved wrestling. Triple H, Stone Cold, The Rock, Man Kind, Brett Micheals, the Hardy boys, Kurt Angle, Gold Dust, and Diamond Dallas are the guys I grew up with. As an adult I either wrote it off as too fake or was trying to be a better person and cut out things I thought contributed to toxic masculinity, so I just didn’t watch it. Hearing the names Gold Dust and Diamond Dallas Page are shock to the system. I enjoyed this MBIC even though I didn’t think I would. To Anthony, seeing as you are such a wrestling aficionado how did you perceive the movie Ready to Rumble? In 2000 I was still a wee one and still loved wrestling. I remember really liking the movie then. I have yet to see it though and in almost 25 years not sure the movie still holds up. I liked a lot of stupid shit as a kid and this movie may be one of those. I bring up the movie because watching this MBIC just really reminded me of it.

I'm only halfway and it doesn't look like it's going to get talked about. But the comradery between wrestlers is amazing too. The trust they have in one another. When you hear The Rock talk about his first big match where they give him the win over.... I forget who. If the man cried I bet he would. He's emotional every time. Actually AEW wrestlers do have some Health insurance. They worked it is each talent is under two contracts, one as a wrestler, the other as an entertainer for online content for the corporation. Awesome Kong Explained it in an interview.

This was an outstanding breakdown of the form. What wrestling is at it's core is really misunderstood and Anthony's knowledge and ability to talk through it is really impressive.
