I second that. I would love to hear you guys cover The Nutcracker. Just make sure to cover the original since the Alexandre Dumas version (the one that got made into the ballet) makes the story lighter and less scary and obviously we don't want that here at HP Podcraft.

Please continue the occasional "shooting the breeze" episodes. These days, I listen to y'all more for your personalities than for the story content, though I do enjoy the literary education! Y'all are wonderfully unique and make me feel less alone in this vast, mysterious universe we share.

I suppose it speaks poorly of me that my mind did not go to indie band with Stacking Matches but, instead, to code for some sort of sexual shenanigans. We were stacking matches all night long, if you know what I mean. She looks like she could stack a box of matches and not even break a sweat. My landlord is a real match stacker. Stacking matches is nothing to be ashamed of. Just obtain consent and wash your gear. I'll see myself out.

Flemish Festival! You probably won't have known, it's just that the whole "French" thing is just a bit of a touchy subject in Flanders sometimes. Not sure about that last part, by the way. I believe the horse was in charge in most versions of the legend, taking the youths to safety and all that.

I just want to say that I actually loved the "filler" episodes. I often find my mind drifting away when listening to your regular episodes where you discuss a story and I usually "come back" when you get on a tangent and just talk about some other stuff. So I really loved hearing you guys talk about random stuff and I would in fact ENCOURAGE you to maybe throw in an episode where you just talk about whatever weird fiction or not. Oh and thanks Chris for mentioning the Gaslands tabletop game, as an owner of 300+ hotwheels cars and being a Mad Max lover it just blowed my mind and I will definitely look into playing that in the future!

It's funny that only after the fact that you mentioned blade runner that I make the connection between Sandman and it. Side note, I do actually want to learn Germen so I guess I will have to seek out the book and figure out how to read it (unless I can get a class or something). That said, total random side note. When you mentioned the recording of Seaton's Aunt by Andrew Leman it reminded me of a playthrough I watched which is for a visual novelization for Dagon https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZPBnwH5DMJQ I will admit, I just super imposed Andrew Leman's voice although not to demenish or demine the voice actor but seeing as most of my exposure to Lovecraft stories was from you guys and Andrew doing so well in his reading it's just an automatic thing.

Chad and Chris, I second the votes for Beyond the Cleft and, especially, Where the Summer Ends. I'm a resident in the city where Where the Summer Ends takes place, and I drive down the road on which the events of the story unfold almost every day. It has great atmosphere and is genuinely creepy, enough that I would never want to be on that street today at 3 A.M.

OMG I was in an Atomic Highway game which also uses kit bashed hot wheels cars as minis. Mine is a “Fud Truck”. I use a flame thrower for both cooking and defence!

The reason pet cats bring dead lizards or birds or rats to you or leave them on your doorstep is not because they are giving you a gift for being a nice person. They are communal hunters and they are bringing you, their family member, food because you seemingly don’t hunt you most be sick or disabled or just really suck at taking care of yourself.

While the non-story episodes from August were a little odd, I do appreciate that you guys felt compelled to still do episodes even when you both clearly needed and wanted a break. And given that very often the most enjoyable parts of a regular episode are the weird digressions and personal asides, two entire episodes of that sort of thing wasn't amiss. The truth is you guys are fun to hang with for a half hour or so every week, no matter what you're talking about.
