Redemption
2025-01-11 18:38:12 +0000 UTCRoose is being hypocritical; he accuses Brienne of abetting treason, yet he himself is going behind Robb's back by allowing Jaime to return to King's Landing. Still it was nice to see Jaime insist that Brienne come with him; you can tell he has grown to appreciate her. Tywin outplayed Olenna and she was very much incapable of opposing his demands since for all intents and purposes he is the most powerful man in all of Westeros. Joffrey may be King, but its Tywin that everyone fears. I do like that they showed a more human side to Cersei. She feels sorry for herself sure, but she also acknowledges that Tywin is using them all like pieces on a board. I felt sorry for Ros, I can only imagine the terror she felt before the last fatal bolt pierced her. I blame Baelish as much as I do Joffrey. But Sansa is more or less back to where she was; she is no longer marrying Loras and her alternative escape, Baelish, left for The Eyrie. I do love Baelish's monologue about chaos being a ladder. It's an accurate assessment since many do try to climb to the top, but many fail to reach the top and fall to the bottom.
