Our Magic Item Cards are objects you can find in our world, usually accompanying the series we tackle that month. This might help you visualize the world and its creations better: add items for effects on your players, simply add them to your treasure box for flavor or use them as a quest item.

Without further ado, this month's exclusive Item Cards for all "The First Scouts", "First Class Ranger", "Undaunted Pioneer", “Grand Archivist” and “Master Chronicler” supporters, here to accompany you and your companions on your epic tales:

Gelatinous Gin

Potion | Uncommon | Requires No Attunement

“Take a sip of the finest gin of the world; ice cold, gelatinous, and leaves a burning sensation. Made from part of an actual Gelatinous Cube, this wondrous concoction has a strong citrus scent and a pine-like taste, accompanied by a kick of strong bitterness. It is said that after a sip or two, you’ll find yourself burping up literal acid.”

When you drink this potion, you gain the *Burning Throat effect for 2d6 hours (no concentration required).

Burning Throat. You can hurl a bubble of acid from your mouth or nostrils. You can use an action to target one creature within 60 feet range, or choose two creatures within 60 feet range that are within 5 feet of each other. A target must succeed on a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw or take 6 (1d6 + 3) acid damage.

Kraken Stew

Consumable | Uncommon | Requires No Attunement

“Heads-up, it’s not made from an actual Kraken. But hey, it’s a nifty marketing ploy! The menu reads: Made from the finest Kraken parts—delicious tentacles, squishy rings, and rubbery mantle—and combined with delicious veggies, this is a fine-dining dish that’ll leave you thirsty for more. Partially because it’s quite salty.”

When you eat this food, you can feel your body’s stress fade away and your exhaustion is reduced by 1 level. In addition, you feel empowered and your Constitution is increased by 1 (up to a maximum of 20) for 1 day. These effects cannot be stacked and eating another Kraken Stew only renews the duration.

Bug Bug

Wondrous Item | Rare | Requires Attunement

“It’s easy to lose track of time, but it’s not easy to track somebody else. It may even leave you lost and bugged out. Unless you’re Bug Bug, that is. Tracking becomes easy peasy as it flies through the breezy and trails anyone you want. This is a bug that bugs people to a T, giving you their location and letting you in on their possibly highly sensitive and secret conversations.“

You can use an action to order Bug Bug to trail one creature up to 1000 feet away. The targeted creature must succeed a DC 15 Wisdom saving throw or fail to detect Bug Bug. If the target moves beyond 1000 feet away from you, Bug Bug will return to your side within the next minute.

While this magic item is trailing a creature, you can sense the direction of its location. In addition, if the item is in motion, you know the direction of its movement, and if the target talks normally, whatever it says is transmitted inside your head.

Friendly Fire

Wondrous Item | Legendary | Requires Attunement

“Left alone to its own devices in a tavern fireplace—no one felt any sentiment to the forever fireplace for many decades. Over time, it forgot its sense of self. However, if you give it hearth you may find a forever friend. It’ll have your back, keep you warm, and keep you safe. It’s a personality that takes getting used to, but one that will never betray.”

You must feed it a flammable source equivalent in size to a cup of ale daily or it will exhaust and disappear.

Over the span of 10 minutes you can attempt to appeal to Friendly Fire. Make a DC 15 Charisma check. On success, it grows fond of you and enters a contract with you.

While contracted, it will follow you on your shoulder and you have resistance to fire damage. In addition, it will shed a bright light in a 25-foot radius and dim light for an additional 25 feet.

While contracted; when an enemy within 5 feet attacks you, the enemy must succeed on a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw or take 10 (2d6 + 4) fire damage.
