yeah the new dubs been pretty disheartening ngl between nabiki, kuno, the jusenkyo guide. Im worried so far if they do a good job on shampoo considering thery seem to be largely cutting any hint of the originals dub characterization choices. The remake has been cool although i do find myself missing the little things that gave the original character and wishing this would let more people take a look back at the greatness of the original. Its a mixed feeling for me especially as someone who loved how atmospheric and introspective the early episodes were focusing on akane and ranmas interactions, the newer feels like its trying to stick harder to the romcom energy so you get less downtime and it feels less personable overall for me. Think the fight scene witht he hentai horde was alot more dynamic looking in the original which was surprising

I REALLY like the look of this! And this is such a fun, cute show, so the cool animation makes it even more fun!

I'm only 1 episode in so far, but I'm loving the remake, the first episode of the original anime and this remake only cover the first chapter of the manga, but somehow the remake feels so much better paced already. The animation is so fluid and expressive as well, the little fight choreography we had already was great and the colours just pop, I'm so happy it got remade, so far it's the anime adaptation the series deserves, no pacing issues, and no filler or padding ruining the jokes or story, the series is performing well as well, so they should finally be able to adapt the entire series, it's a bit of a new golden age for Rumiko Takahashi the series creator. you only watched the dub of the original anime so you won't know this, but nearly all of the original voice cast was able to come back for the remake, and they're doing a fantastic job, Megumi Hayashibara is a treat as female Ranma, and she's only gotten better (she's a pretty big VA now voicing big characters for Both the Pokemon anime and Detective Conan, so literal thousands of episodes of experience now).
