The School of Sorcery [Part 07] - Map Pack

We’ve made hundreds of maps and this year, every month, we’ll revisit a Patron-voted old series of choice to make a brand new prequel or sequel for it. This month it’s time to hit the books with more of the School of Sorcery!

Here’s the seventh part.

The doors have opened once again! Hundreds of students from familiar faces to greenhorns walk through these prestigious halls, scurrying to their respected houses in a hurry for further details regarding their curriculum.
One new face is Adam, a Halfling that even for Halfling standards is considered a tad bit short. No wonder he’s unoriginally nicknamed ‘The Quarterling’ by his peers. Adam, who proudly boasts the school’s emblem on his left chest, comes from humble beginnings and is the pride and joy of his little village. His heart’s aflame with passion as he makes a b-line towards the Study Corner for a head start. He sweeps the floor with his oversized red cloak and a stack of books in hand.
Entering the Study Corner is by no means an easy feat. To enter, one must first charm the gatekeeper. Luckily, what Adam lacks in height, he certainly makes up for with appeal.
Long wooden tables align near three windows on the lower floor, while the upper floor features thousands of books, ranging from powerful sorcery to the history of Arcane. Adam grabs a random book from the shelf and excitedly speaks aloud: “Time to dive in!”

~ We’re hoping you enjoy these maps as much as we like making them. Stay tuned for part eight later this month!

Hi Bruno! There is no such a thing. We didn't draw out halls and stuff, since they wouldn't make for an interesting map. It's just something that takes you from A to B. Just because we didn't draw them, doesn't mean they don't exist. We envisioned there being non-created hallways that lead to the maps in any order you desire. We suggest starting with Part 1 and going inside to Part 2. From there, it's free reign. There's multiple stairs in Part 2 that could lead virtually anywhere.

Hey guys, is there either a guide how this seven maps interconnect, exactly or an image of the full school blueprint. Even an image of the school from other perspective might help out.

It's almost impossible to convert pixels to vectors. SVG's are vector type illustrations made with coordinates and mainly used for logo's, online animations or charts and graphs. I'm pretty sure you draw your maps in Photoshop with brushes, which are pixels. Attempting to trace a complex image such as a photograph will often provide very poor results. You can try it in illustrator, but in order for it to be visually acceptable the vectors will be so complex that it will erase any benefit that might be had from the format.

Can you send us a private message with an example of what you want done? I'll see on our end if we have any suggestions to get it work. :)

Thank you! I did try that. Neither the PDF nor the JPG worked. https://cln.sh/g2BWah I'm trying to split the image so we can have some bits be in the foreground and the rest be part of the background. If you have any suggestions there, I'd super appreciate it!

Hi Eman! Not sure, as we've never worked with SVGs before. Does converting our JPEGS to SVGS online work? I found this handy online converter (googled it): https://convertio.co/jpeg-svg/

Quick question! Do you have any resources on turning your maps into SVGs so we can make minor edits?
