Folder Renaming Macro
Added 2021-08-11 12:18:33 +0000 UTCFellow Patron Konrad (a.k.a. WinterKnight) made a handy macro to rename our files quick and easy! Thanks a lot WinterKnight! Perhaps we should call you MacroKnight from now on? He shared it with us to share with you all for free. He wants to remind everyone that he did this for free, for himself, and that there is no warranty or guarantee on it.

What it does: It takes all Folders in one Folder and renames the folder after the first .jpg filename.
Example: [2020.02]_Part_03_ [$1][VTT] becomes Ironworks_Part03
Notes:
"I made this excel sheet for myself. It might be useful for you (I hope). You have to activate Macros in Excel (Security issue) Know errors/bugs/Issues: - It probably won't work on MAC - It doesn't show duplicates and Missing names in other than German/English Excel - It should only work with Eightfold Paper's folder names because of their file structure (I cut of the last 10 character which is the [35x20]) and stuff like that - It only works for jpg Version not the pdf (but with minor VBA Knowledge that should be easy to fix). If there's a lot of demand I might fix it. If you are an expert VBA crack - I know it is written bad. I wrote it for me, not with sharing in mind.
