Our Item Cards are objects you can find in our world, usually accompanying the series we tackle that month. This might help you visualize the world and its creations better: add items for effects on your players, simply add them to your treasure box for flavor or use them as a quest item.
We held a poll earlier this month in which we asked all of you guys to tell us what sort of Items you would like to see for Church’s Hidden Crypt. We really liked the ideas that were there and decided to go with Deity’s ‘Squid Cape’ as a source of inspiration.

With at its base polished wood, the otherwise gold-coated tip displays a faint blue shine and the sculpture of a dark creature. Created by powerful wizards to subdue creatures of the dark, one can bang out an exploding bright flash of light. The flash blinds any with their eyes exposed, and may leave foes of the dark mentally incapacitated for a brief period of time.

The live container of a sinister tadpole. Relatively cute if you squint your eyes and forego the fact that it has tentacles for arms, but extremely dangerous when fed the delicious brain of its host. Once fully fed, it replaces the original brain and takes full control of the host’s body.

Originally worn by creatures of dominion; ones of darkness who attack those of feeble mind. The hood aids in maintaining your original thoughts and may help repel against mental attacks.

Wielded by malicious, sadistic, and dark creatures to torture and assault any who stand in their way. Misery is inflicted with each on-going slash, lowering its victim’s mental fortitude. Even the strongest of mind will eventually fall and pray for mercy. For every gash given, the wielder turns slightly more malevolent.
