DADDY'S GOTTA GO! - Fallout 1x8

Comments

I loved that you honed in on the code 101097 that was imputed into the cold fusion terminal. That was an Easter egg to the original release of Fallout 1 on October 10, 1997, in North America for MS-DOS and Windows!

Double post, but this battle in the Observatory is canon as is this entire season. It more or less solidified hostilities between the NCR and Brotherhood.

The Brotherhood of Steel are more or less a cult. They're not evil, per say, but they have MANY flawed moral views. Still, if all of the world's deadliest weapons ended up with them, they'd likely never use them against anyone. Their redeeming quality is that they understand and respect what technology can do. They want to prevent a second nuclear war and keep deadly technology from anyone who would use it ignorantly either maliciously or accidentally. 21:59 Oh sheeeee hinting at the "Super Mutants." I am certain we'll meet them in season 2. They're one of the more terrifying enemies of Fallout. Ghoul's wife was a sociopath. Vault-Tec did not trigger the nuclear event, but they did want it to happen. No one knows what finally led to the war, but the vaults were made with it happening in mind; not as a pre-caution, but as an inevitability. However, not all of the vaults were finished, so VT's plans fell apart and the vault's all became isolated. Regardless, Vault-Tec are evil, despicable, sub-human monsters. The Enclave, (Faction we met in E1 who the head worked for.) are the remnants of the U.S. government and they were likely the culprits behind the nuclear armageddon, but this is dubious at best, despite them having the biggest motivation. I cannot condone what Moldaver did to Vault 33's people, but she was justified in her hatred of Hank and what he did. Hank is one of the most vile and bastardly assholes I've ever seen in Fallout. Dude nuked a city, murdered thousands, and lied to his kids, all to protect Mr. Brain's plans.

Everything about this show was stellar!!

Yup, just crossed it with the final episode of Solo Leveling, that I was working on at the same time.

This episode is a masterclass on bringing all the story beats together and wrapping them up PERFECTLY. This is genuinely one of the best seasons of television i've ever seen, and it's without a doubt the best video game adaptation i've seen. I think it's ironic how just when Maximus has given up on the brotherhood and has decided he wants more in his life, he gets pulled back in and promoted to a higher rank, i'm very intrigued to see where they take his character in season 2. I'm sure loads of people are probably already telling you this, but that city at the end is New Vegas, so it might be a good call to pick the game up again in preparation for season 2- I also think you'd love Fallout 4 if you ever plan to play the series further. But yeah, great episode, great show, loved the reaction!!

Just a mistake probably

Episode 12? Did my dumbass miss some episodes?

The part where they show the execs talking about the random stuff to do with vaults, those vaults exist in some of the games. It gets to a point where you find a vault in game and are like "ok, what house of horrors is this going to be." Also, at the very end, the settlement they show is New Vegas. That is standalone Fallout game expansion and is considered to be one of if not the best in terms of story, so pretty excited to see what they do with it. All in all, they did a great job with this adaptation, you could tell the series creators were fans of the series and did their research.
