GAME of THRONES & OTHER UPCOMING STUFF!
Added 2024-06-20 21:47:14 +0000 UTCOkay, Gang, I have some things - I think, pretty exciting stuff - to share with all of you:
First of all, I am about to complete Fallout at The Grandpa Curtis channel, so I'll be looking for something to fill that slot. I'm going to go ahead and try out GoT there. This way, if it takes off, you guys will be getting a full episode every few days. I think this is much better than how we're currently going to have to do it, with me splitting the episodes into 2 or 3 parts, depending on length.
This is ONLY if it does well at the YT channel. I can't have shows that underperform there, especially early on like this, or YouTube will definitely abandon us again.
Now, if GoT takes off, that will re-open another daily slot for you guys here. As we're doing our catchup series that were gonna come in before GoT anyway, we'll have time to allow you guys another selection process.
I would LOVE to dip my feet into the world of X-Men, as I've heard AMAZING things about X-Men '97. The problem is, that X-Men TAS comes first, and I am quite confident that show won't do all that well at Grandpa Curtis, so I'm deciding what to do there. I could watch a recap show of X-Men '92 before diving in, and while that would NOT be ideal, it might be the only way we get to watch '97.
Also, if GoT tanks, I'll give a go to House of the Dragon, as I'm also hearing GREAT things about that one!
I'm also thinking of possibly trying out "Gen V" and then season 4 of The Boys over at GC. Of course, you guys would get full versions here. I'm not sure if that will go well there, though, because all my prior reactions to the series are here at The GOOSH.
Even though these are YT shows - where you guys get the full versions - I like to get you guys' thoughts on these things as, oddly enough, your selections here do WAY better at the YT channel than do the selections made by the YT crew!
For instance, I'm doing Fallout because you guys here were big on it, and it's doing great both here and at GC. I polled the gang over there for a show and there was HUGE support for Teen Titans... And then it ended up flaming out magnificently!
Feel free to hit me with any thoughts or suggestions in the comments here. I wish I had more leeway at the YT channel to give underperforming shows further chances, but I've learned the hard way that YT has NO patience for any channel that they don't feel is making them enough money!

2024-06-21 04:22:22 +0000 UTCX-Men 92 needs to be watched before 1997, there is too much comic book content to just pass over it. A recap won't be enough. It's like starting One Piece at Wano and watching a recap video for everything that happened before it.

If it comes down to it I just watched the 92 series from start to finish not to long ago, and I'm pretty confident in naming witch ones are the most important. Or maybe people could vote on a couple for every season (not excluding the phoenix saga witch takes up most of season 3). There are also recap videos. who knows, it might just not be feasible.

2024-06-21 00:28:02 +0000 UTCI kind of agree with you on X-Men, you'd need to see the original series first for 97 to have any weight, and I feel like only the first episode of the original would do well on youtube, followed by the views dropping outside ones with Wolverine in the thumbnail. if you're looking for suggestions I would highly recommend Netflix's Daredevil series (it's on Disney+ now), it's a series you'd love and I think it would do well in the algorithm since Disney is reviving it, besides that one... Doctor Who and Star Trek reactions have really taken off recently surprisingly, even Monty Python has had a resurgence, so some reactions to clips from it could be fun even though I'm sure you've seen them.

It really picks up after the early episodes of information dumps you just got. For me, seasons 1-5 are peak television. It's sort of sad that you keep having to drop it though, since it's a show very dependent on remembering a lot of characters, subplots, and locations. Hoping to eventually see your reaction to Revenge of the Sith, even if Attack of the Clones is skipped. It's my favorite movie of all time! 😊

2024-06-20 23:06:08 +0000 UTC@Curtis Teen titans is a show I enjoyed as a whole, but there are only a few episodes I would probably rewatch. It's biggest success was introducing the characters to non-comic viewers and they ended up being featured in a lot of other DC shows and movies which really fleshed them out more. Also, fans may not like it, but rule34 artists probably played a big role in getting them as well known too haha.

2024-06-20 22:19:55 +0000 UTCIf I knew GOT won in time, I'd say skip it for now and catch up to house of dragon in time for S2. That should help views on the channel since new episodes are coming out. But If S2 turns bad then you'd probably get less views on S1 if you started now I'd imagine.
