Usually, you get dosed as a child and you're not even aware, thats it, taking it as an adult will inevitably have side effects. At least with Butcher, he's already off the edge of the cliff and is heading into a 1v1 deathmatch with Homelander he clearly has no intention of coming out alive from. Hughie tho, hes in a way more vulnerable emotional and mental state, hes got things to live for but you can see the side effect of V on him already, hes high as a kite on his new powers while Kimiko is literally bleeding out to death yet he doesn't even blink. We also finally get Jensen Ackles stepping into the spotlight (Soldier Boys actor), the ads they had when he was announced to be in the show were hilarious, can't wait to see more of him now that hes a loose canon out in the world. And remember, he was the Homelander before Homelander power wise, if we wanted a weapon against him, we found it
