The story of Honey's cavity was fun and entertaining, but Haruhi Alice is my favorite episode so far!

Yea, this Alice episode was definitely my favorite so far! I like it A LOT!… Her not willing to be bothered to follow the rabbit is pretty funny, though! 😄

2023-09-17 23:24:20 +0000 UTCSomething that's kind of funny to me is that the manga had a totally different take on the Haruhi in Wonderland story. In that version, it's just a particularly zany reenactment of Alice in Wonderland, with almost all the hosts getting to play Alice at some point throughout the story. (Like, Haruhi's not curious enough to be bothered to follow the rabbit, so the twins have to almost immediately take over.) But I really like the anime's take on it. This more melancholy telling is a really great sendoff into the second half of the series, where there will be a lot more focus on character development and really getting to know who the boys are outside of their hosting personas.

2023-09-17 18:05:47 +0000 UTCIt's always fun watching these reactions, Ouran always has a unique atmosphere and sense to it compared to a lot of series. Not enough Shojo series have anime adaptations, and some of the big ones that do, like Ouran only have one season even though there's enough content for at least 3 seasons, shows like this aimed at girls are seen as less marketable unfortunately, though, I'd say it's probably better then it use to be now. Alice in Wonderland is pretty popular worldwide, I've actually seen a few Shojo series parody it, Sakura actually had a filler episode that parody it, but that's one of the fillers I had to cut.
