2023-09-13 20:29:26 +0000 UTCI mean, i think we got a pretty definitive conclusion to the fight, Shadow was going to vaporize the entire city and they could do absolutely nothing about it, without outright killing them and probably a couple million people i think thats about as definitive of a defeat as you can get. Which speaking of, baby Cid mouthed "Yamero", meaning "stop", its an indication theres still a piece of Cid's humanity that hasn't been lost to his insane roleplay personality. It also kinda hints that...well, he did have the intention of actually nuking the entire capital, before he managed to hold himself back, i always thought the "This times really just for the show" is a bit of an excuse made after he decided to not actually blow everything up, but just point the blast upwards to clear the skies.
