According the manga, fairies like King and Elaine go commando (that is, they dont wear panties or underwear). So my idea of this year is King trying them for the first time and showing them to Diane for Valentine's Day.
Diane would be pleasantly surprised .... but obviously next day King will get rid of them and will keep going commando, he is a fairy after all.
