I truly enjoyed the first HP movie, but this one was even better! And Dobby is a little badass!

When you get to the fifth movie, Curtis, you're gonna run into a character you're seriously gonna hate. I don't know if said character will be your most hated... I guess we'll all know that when the time comes, but the way I hate this person is similar to your lothing of Kabuto from what I've watched of your Naruto/Shippuden reactions. I won't give anything more away, since you're like the majority of the rest of the world and unlike me, in that you don't want spoilers lmao.

These are fun, I've never been a big fan of the dialogue acting of the kids in the first 3 movies but Ron's expressions are hilarious. The actor who plays Draco Malfoy lied on his credentials during his casting auditions and because that fit his character so well they gave him the part. Hagrid is just such a wholesome dude.

It shows the "brilliant author" in straitjacket, with new book called "Who am I?"

The syncing issues were because one was an extended version and people were watching the standard version.

I wonder if maybe for the out of sync issue, perhaps allow 5 seconds or so of the movie audio to play once every 20 minutes. I use Movies7 and never have issues with syncing.

There is a very brief after credit scene for this one that you missed.

I was actually getting complaints about the Peacock version, so I believe I watched this one at Max. I’ll try to remember to start notating where I watch them in the description.

Hey Curtis, just curious, where are you watching these? I was watching on Peacock and it kept getting out of sync with your reaction. I'm about 90% sure it was because the version I was watching on Peacock has the deleted scenes put back in while yours doesn't.

This movie is amazing. I first saw it when I was 7 years old and I loved it then and I love it now. However, there is one egregious sin that the movie really shouldn't have included. When they're looking at the paper describing the basilisk, it clearly says the crowing of a rooster will kill it. And yet Harry and Ron go down the hole completely roosterless. it could be a metaphor, but If it was me, I'd be chucking cocks (tee hee) down the hole Like there was no tomorrow, i'd be yelling too "Hey, basilisk spiders aren't afraid of roosters you idiot." Otherwise great movie can't wait for you to see the next one.

Another thing I forgot to mention was that during ancient times, muggles used to hunt down wizards and slay them since they were afraid of wizards. So Salazar Slytherin, in his mind, was doing the right thing by trying to protect wizards by eliminating the "Muggle Threat" from the world. As you can probably tell, the others disagreed with his solution and opted to keep the wizarding world hidden away from the muggle world. That partially why it's such a huge deal that Harry and Ron were seen; you can only use magic in front of muggles for self-defense.

I'm glad you're liking the films, you'll see a steady process as the films just get better and better. Dolby is a fan favourite for a reason, like Jarrod said, there's a lot more details about house elves in the books, that were left out of the films for time, including an entire sub-plot involving Hermoine being a protestor for House elf liberation, but I'll save discussing that properly till we're further into the films, it's kind of why I'm not entirely against the HBO TV series reboot they're working on, there's a lot more details that a show that will adapt a book a season can show, that can't be shown in a single film. according to J.K. Rowling the series creator she'd planned on having the Weasley's car pop back up in a later book, probably the final one, but the idea was scrapped.

Dobby is magically bound to the family he serves, meaning he can't defy them in any way. The same goes for all other House Elves. He's magically forced to "punish" himself whenever he does something his masters don't want him to do. So when he said "Dobby was forced to iron his own hands", he was literally magically compelled to do that to himself, even if he didn't want to do it. It's also why he couldn't just attack the Malfoys and free himself. Sadly, we don't really get a lot of the lore about the House Elves in the movies. I'd explain it, but I want to leave it to someone who might know more of the exact details. Between that and the discourse between Purebloodeds and Half-Bloods Muggle-borns, and them being unafraid to straight up attack/petrify/kill students, the movies really took the darkness and adult themes up a notch.
