Upcoming Pause

Fondest greetings to you all, friends, and especially the new patrons I've picked up over the past few weeks. I'm so grateful for you all.

This has, obviously, been a difficult month. I was hoping I might be able to dive into my work to get my mind off things, but that's proven easier said than done. Tomorrow I need to head back to the family for my mother's (socially distanced) services; by the time I return after the weekend, fully two-thirds of July is just gone. I'm behind on My Bigger Boyfriend, I haven't had a chance to do any new Kaiju Attack pages as I'd planned, and I still have some other work sitting on my plate that's been neglected.

After bouncing back and forth a few times, I've decided to pause my campaign for August; no one will be charged at the beginning of the month. Hopefully that will make up for the lack of work in July; I'll spend August getting caught up with the comics I've missed, and by September the campaign should be able to return to normal. I'm really hoping to get through Pride and Ocean's "origin story" in the comic strip, and I'm looking forward to getting through the grand finale of Kaiju Attack and moving on to new comic projects. I'll also have more random sketches to share with y'all, and as a reminder, we're getting very close to the milestone to start voting on full-color wallpapers every other month … perhaps a few new patrons will push us over the edge!

A handful of folks have asked if there's anything they can do to help. Well-wishes and positive thoughts are certainly appreciated. Financially, I'll be okay, and there are other people in far more dire straights than I am. But if you're doing okay and feel like tossing in a bit to help make up for lost income this month, you can always send me a Kofi or two.
