december update!

it's the end of the year! 2023 has been a lot & i am glad it is coming to an end, to be honest.

for this month, my plans...

• releas a new game! this is not exactly true - or well, it is new, but this game was made quite a while back. it's going to be my second but also probably final unity game. i'll post more about it when it's ready to be released, but it's this game which i posted about last year in June  https://www.patreon.com/posts/timelapse-of-bg-67412967
• finish porting Marron Helps A Friend to Marron's Day! i'm almost done - just have the ending scene left - & when i'm done, i'll have a 'base' to actually start Marron's Day properly. i'll be using Marron Helps A Friend's port as a prologue of sorts for the rest of Marron's Day, but once the prologue portion is ready, i'm going to try uploading to steam to test if i can get the game working on windows, mac, & linux! (right now steam page only says windows but i'd like to support all 3)
• i'm also working on a little thing for a pet shop after dark..................................... not new content per se but i'll have more info for you when it's more in progress since right now it's still very very early
• a postcard for you to round off the year!
• also i am trying to update A TAVERN FOR TEA on android but it has been AWFUL and now that i remembered it i'm annoyed so i'm going to write a new post about it

since i quit my job at the end of march & started game dev full-time, this year has been just generally very stressful for various reasons. i think i attended too many events (i wrote a little blog around two recent ones i attended here: https://tnywndr.cafe/posts/2023-12-06-what-is-normal-tags-and-folders ) & i don't think i needed to attend all of the ones i did. i did not get as many new games finished as i was hoping, but i also think i need to find a pace that works better for me without burning myself out. i don't know exactly what that pace will look like yet, but i'm going to try to not overwhelm myself this month so i can start 2024 off fresh.
