I didn't notice this when I first watched the episode, but I think we're beginning to see the prejudice which we have Moreso only really been told is a thing. The most recent example I can think of, would be when the league is trying to rob a house and they fight those oblivious Klan stand ins/ references. According to spinner he was judged unfairly due to the lizard appearance that he got thanks to his quirk. In that scene we also hear that others get discriminated against in much the same way. This episode features an innocent girl with a non-human looking appearance getting full on assaulted because a band of civilian turned vigilante's think, she's a villain. When Deku interferes and uses the logic of the situation one member of the group defends their actions by saying how could they know due to her appearance and it being night. That's some clear racism from the people the heroes are actively trying to protect and then we hear from her that she has nowhere else to go because people have been judging her by her appearance to her appearance. This also shows some of the big reasons why we have the "You can't use your powers to defend yourself" law. At first glance it's very unfair and almost self-destructive since it's taking away a person's greatest tool to keep themselves safe from the people who don't follow the law. For the most part I still stand by this but then we see this arc where we see and are told of the common result of civilians grouping together and freely using their powers to defend themselves. You could akin their powers to a gun in a certain way. You need to be properly trained to use a gun or you could shoot yourself or others with it without meaning to. Powers work the same but their potentially worse. Most people have powers and their kind of a toss of a coin of what that power could be. They could just have the ability to make water float... or they could be able to manipulate the blood in your veins. It's an unpredictable thing that everyday civilians would have to contend with if not for the laws that kept them from using them unnecessarily. Civilians aren't commonly trained to use their powers so them and with their lack of experience with their powers and the fact you only really get a license to use them if you're pursuing a job as a hero, makes them very unriuly. As such when all these Civilians band together to fight off villains the resulting massacre is due to the fact, they just don't have the experience with them and they commonly wind-up dead in these scuffles. Now I still think the law is unfair, I think what should be done about it is have it tweaked so that they are allowed to defend themselves. Maybe initiate a program where civilians are trained in self-defense with the use of their powers where they get a "Quirk Self-Defense License." On the topic of unfair laws, this sparked a question that I didn't really think of until now and it's a very important question. What are the ideals of Re-Destro and his allies? Like their an important faction albeit short lived thanks to the previous arc but we hardly know anything about their ideals. Sure, we are told some stuff about them but nothing specific enough for me to understand the group's views fully. Like are they aiming to reform laws that condemn the use of powers for self-defense or is it more complex than that? This talk about laws just made me realize how little we know about Re-Destro's faction. Until now I just considered them a bad guy faction that wasn't originally allied with Shiguraki. From how they talk they should probably be more complex than bad guy faction 2 that doesn't initially abide bad guy faction 1. Like they might be so much more to the group, but it isn't explored enough to really get a good understanding of their specific motivations and goals. What does social reform look like to them? It's just that just now I'm realizing just how little legwork was put into writing this group. Maybe this faction should have been introduced much earlier in the story so we have more time to explore them fully before throwing them under the bus after All for One takes center stage.

The author has said he believes she's the cutest character he's ever designed for this show. And because of her freakishly tall nature making it difficult to keep her design consistent between manga panels/animation shots, her official height according to the wiki is "somewhere between 8'6" and 9'10"." She is a very very big woman.

I think Endeavor and Jeanist nailed it on why AFO needs Shiguraki; AFO feels nothing, he's a sociopath on top of living long past his natural life span; he's no longer even remotely human or rather he no longer has any humanity within himself if he had any to begin with. He cultivated Shiguraki's hatred, nurtured it, and made it that much stronger. His bid is to use that hatred to ensnare OFA and merge his quirk with it.
