Honestly, what Yao did was mostly a mercy. As cold as it was handled its better than what Itami is doing, as its only making the situation worse, you never wanna be an enabler of traumatic disorders or side effects, as you said it would've eventually backfired. I wouldn't even go as far as to say it was roundabout, you're asking someone to risk their and possibly others lives to help you, you can either go the polite route, or force their hand, as it stood Itami was never gonna do what she was asking of him, and her family would get BBQ'd.

I do like Duran, even if he only plays a minor role in the anime (have not read the manga)
Not sure if you recognize him, due to suffering from Marie Antoinette syndrome (he was one of the men leading the attack on the hill early on in the anime)

In case everyone didn't hate Zorzal enough:
Regarding Tyuule's backstory (since the anime skipped it), she was the Queen of Warrior Bunnies. Long ago, the Warrior Bunnies first migrated from their original dimension to the Special Region through the Gate. For a long time, they were regarded as a cruel, violent, and debauched race. For the most part, this was true. In the north-eastern plains on the continent where their kingdom once stood, the tribes would hunt one another. Three years ago, before the Gate opened in Japan, the Empire suddenly invaded in search of slaves. The Warrior Bunnies easily overwhelmed the Empire's troops, but the Empire's never-ending armies proved to be too much for the Warrior Bunnies, who were slowly pushed back by the endless Imperial troops. Tyuule decided to parley with Crown Prince Zorzal and became his sex slave to save her people from certain death. However, the Empire made it as if Tyuule intended to save herself, making her hated amongst her subjects, keeping it hidden from her. The Warrior Bunnies soon scattered at the end of the war, becoming mercenaries, prostitutes, or servants to make ends meet.

Itami casually selling his soul for the mission, but there are worse demi-gods to do that with than Rory heh.

This probably my favorite little arc coming up with the dragon I can't wait for you to experience it!
This episode really had a bunch of ye olde fuckery with all the revenge plots. Yao being desperate enough to hurt others was rough but I can definitely see how she might do all those things out of desperation. The only thing I don't get with her is how she knew so much detail about what happened to Tuka including her father's name.
Also, the other little bit I like in this episode is how satisfying it is, to me at least, knowing that Tyuule (the white haired rabbit lady) has actually been able to manipulate the prince because he's an idiot who's too arrogant to think anything could stop him and I'm kinda rooting for her to get her revenge (minus the whole framing Pina thing).
