regarding tiers! (there's a poll, please look)
Added 2021-09-08 01:56:01 +0000 UTCi've been thinking about changing the tier costs. this won't affect any current pledges & you'll all get the pledge bonuses you get without any changes - this will only be for new pledges!
i found out that for my 1 USD pledges, a big portion of the pledge actually just goes to payment processing ๐ฆ this feels kind of weird because while i appreciate all of your support, in some cases over 30% of the support is actually just going to fees... & if people want to support me i want them to know that at least most of their pledge is actually reaching me.
i attached an image showing some examples from this month, but for the 1 USD pledges, what i get in pocket ranges from 88 cents (which is nice! almost 90%) to only 63 cents (which is not so nice with closer to half of the pledge going to patreon/payment processing...). in contrast for 3/5/10/15 USD pledges the rate seems to generally hover above 85%, which i'm happy with!
right now i'm thinking of changing the current 1-3-5 tiers to 2-5-10 instead, but what do you all think? i won't ask any of you to change to any of the new tiers but i wanted to share this info to be more transparent.

2021-09-08 23:05:00 +0000 UTCI changed to $2 because of this, I hope that helps a little. This is a thing other Patreon havers have brought up and it makes total sense, don't want most of my support going to Patreon instead of the creators!

2021-09-08 07:12:26 +0000 UTCi'm leaning towards either just not having a fourth tier or having a $15 tier for anybody who wants to donate more - i used to have a $15 tier already actually and some people are still on that, so i might just put it in the open again and have it at 2/5/10/15
