This interview with legendary Nintendo designer Gunpei Yokoi and Yukihito Morikawa of little known developer MuuMuu was a personal favorite of mine to translate. It was conducted in 1997, just before Yokoi’s tragic early death, and sees him opining about where games have gone while also indicating a desire to return to his toy roots. One can only wonder at what he would have created, and how his thoughts might have changed, had he lived to see where gaming has gone today.
