The Merger - Spirals - Part 2 Bonus Scene, Tammy

(This takes place just after Kelli ‘took care of’ Celene, and just before she went in to ‘take care of’ Hank)

Kelli walked into the main area of the club. It was large and spacious, with a floor plan that was mostly below street level, so if you entered on the ground floor you were actually on the top most level of the club. She scanned the club, but since it was the middle of the afternoon there was no one there. Well, almost no one.

Visibly bouncing along to the beat in the sound booth was Tammy, happily oblivious to everything that was going on around her. Kelli could have just left her there and she would have never noticed anything unusual going on, she was in her own little world. But, “better safe than sorry” was Kelli’s thought process.

As she focused on the sound booth she could feel the electricity in the room…not the energy, but the literal electricity in the sound booth. The lights, the sound system, the electronic door locks were all under her control. She could easily manipulate them at will...and manipulate them she did.

First she made the security system simply lock Tammy in the room. This would ensure that she was out of the way and wouldn’t be bothering Kelli anytime soon. A moment later the power went out in the booth completely, or, more specifically, everything inside of the booth was turned off all at once.

Tammy jumped with a start as she took the headphones off and looked around. Her first thought was there was a blackout…but when she realized the lights in the club were still on, she thought she had blown a fuse. She went to the door but found that it was locked. Most girls would panic. Tammy, however, tried to kick the door open. But given that it was a solid metal door locked by a metal latch this did no good.

After a few well placed spin kicks to the lock, Tammy sat down in her chair with a huff and folded her arms in frustration. A few moments later she pulled out her cell phone to call for help, only the second she tried to turn it on…it went completely dark. “What the hell?” she thought to herself. “A blown fuse can’t make a cell phone go down…can it?”

Before she had a chance to finish answering the question in her own mind, a pair of eyes appeared on her cell phone. They were Kelli’s eyes…but graphically represented like they were drawn, with swirls of colors spiraling out of her pupils to fill the whole screen. Tammy responded the same way that anyone else would…she screamed and threw her phone across the booth.

Unfortunately for her the phone landed with the screen up, facing Tammy.  The young D.J. got up from her chair and backed away, but as she did the lights in the booth started to come up just enough to light the furniture. But the TV screens in the booth also came on, each with a different graphical representation of Kelli’s eyes…and each with a different spiral pattern. Some were colorful, some were differently shaped, some were simply black and white.

Tammy was needless to say, freaked the hell out. She tried the door again, but it didn’t budge. As she turned around to face a room full of hypnotic eyes all staring at her, she felt…overwhelmed. Something about the eyes was starting to draw her in…and one screen in particular was especially hard to look away from. It was on the center screen and was filled with a blue and green spiral in the back, while a ripple moved out of the eyes at the viewer.

Something about this caught her eye, she couldn’t help but step closer and closer to the screen. She didn’t even hear the sound system come on. “Look into my eyes…” it said softly, almost in a whisper. “Look into my eyes…” again and again.

“Your…eyes… “ Tammy repeated softly after each echoing of the mantra. Her posture became more and more relaxed as she just seemed to stare…deeply and completely into the screen. The tension and fear in her eyes began to fade from her expression. Her lips parted in a soft, smooth fashion as she continued to just…stare at the screen, deeply and completely.

This continued for several minutes, until all of the screens flashed the word “Sleep!” over and over again, all at once, while the lights in the booth flashed on and off. For several minutes, the screens and lights flashed overwhelmingly, until all Tammy could do was sigh as her head slumped back and her eyes closed.

Her body started to fall backwards as the lights in the booth fully came up and Tammy fell into the waiting arms of Kelli. “Got ya!” she said, extending her teeth into the D.J.’s neck.
