Retopology is done, will do some optimizations to it to get the poly count down a bit, presently sitting at around 38k tris, so there's a bit of wiggle-room to get it down below at least 30k. Not entirely happy with the inside of the mouth but it's generally a pain in the rear to get right anyway, but there should be enough there for decent visemes.
I imagine I should have at least a basic texture setup for this on the weekend for testing, will be getting the rig sorted out tonight since I do need to close the mouth up and get it into proper t-pose. The fins are going to be kept separate from the body so that they can be hidden, should be easy enough to be able to have a hoodie for this avatar set up, just a matter of getting one either made or adapted for this.
As far as overall body customization is concerned, I'll be trying to get some body customization working so that it's not just masculine, but overall I imagine that this one will be mostly athletic in nature, so sadly there won't be much scope for more pear-shaped looks happening, since this is mostly based on the anthro Lugia design that Royalty did.
I'll have the files up here on the weekend for those who are pledged as beta testers, textures will be basic initially, since I'm intending on painting on ambient occlusion to make it a little more stylized rather than super realistic. Mostly just want to get an idea of the comfort and performance before I release a stable build early next month.
