My Hurricane Helene Experience

Hello WhiteCat family,

You may know by now that I live in a town that was strongly affected by Hurricane Helene. My community and I endured flooding, landslides, power outages, water contaminations, and shortages of many commodities for about 10 days. It was truly the worst 10 days of my life.

We are through the worst of it now, and my family and I are among the most fortunate. We are safe.

During those 10 dark days, I journaled a bit to help pass the time. In this video, I will read my journal entries to you in the ASMR style.

To clear up a few potential questions:

1. The pony I mention survived! I forgot to mention that in the journal. The pony is safe and I can see her grazing now.

2. We did not abandon our cats! Hopefully, you know me well enough to know that was never an option. They were left in the care of our neighbor, who is a veterinary professional. We also stocked up pet food for the whole neighborhood while we were away.
