I’m gonna be real with you guys: this movie is the bane of my existence. Not only has it been the most expensive and longest running production I’ve ever done, but there’s been a literal ghost haunting me each time I get back to working on it.

Explicit Haru was a huge inspiration and drive on this film, not to mention an irreplaceable friend, and ever since his passing last year it’s not only been a struggle to pick up the remaining VFX shots that needed to be done, but it’s just felt hard to sit down and work on the film to any extent.

That said, it’s close to a workable state. I might be able to have an early access cut ready for y’all at the end of the week. I just wanted to take this time to sincerely thank you all for your patience. I genuinely wouldn’t be able to do this without the overwhelming support you’ve shown me, and despite the constant threat of burnout and my real life career picking up the pace, I want to make sure you guys know how much it all means to me.

October is going to be fucked in terms of my schedule, and hopefully I can get my Halloween plans off the ground in time to get it all done. Hopefully the WAFF release will live up to your expectations, since by this point I’d rather just finish it and get it out to you guys than wait any longer on it.
