I completely agree with you, 'Don't stop' feels like a water-down version of Ateez's sound. Something they did because they were forced to or had to do in a rush, I don't know. But that happened with (G)I-dle's Last Dance too, at least for me.

Okay, theory time! This is all subjective (obviously) since Hong said via PM that this is open to interpretation. This may be unorganized so apologies in advance! 1. Idk if the ATEEZ logo for the MV is important but if it is that means this MV falls in Treasure era which is interesting though not the most interesting thing so we move on, just something to note. 2. Music wise, if listening to the track you hear “aye ya aye”s which immediately connects this to Thanxx for me. (This is important for later!). I also realize that this may contradict my first point but stick with me. 3. Everyone but Hongjoong’s and Mingi’s situation is straightforward. Their adversaries took what they needed so WooSan gamble back for the telescope (some people say it’s a map but if you look at the promo pictures it matches the telescope Yunho has.) While SH, YH, YS, and JH go to retrieve the document for the ship. (I think the money is just bonus.) 4. The ship’s name is Destiny which is cute (all things in the MV put aside) because ATEEZ+Destiny=ATINY and ATEEZ have always said ATINY is their treasure. They find Destiny in the Dunes at the end of the MV. The ship looks black and…very similar to the one we saw at the very end of, wait for it, Thanxx! 5. Mingi and Hong. There’s a reason I’m putting them together in this point even though they’re never seen together in the MV. It’s my theory that Hong and Mingi WERE together before we start where we see Hongjoong in the MV. I believe they were together and were separated by their adversaries. The adversaries take the compass and take Mingi away and threaten Hongjoong but Hongjoong fights and that’s how he gets the mark on his cheek below his eye. Feeling upset that he lost the compass and Mingi he takes his anger out on the piano. I feel like Hongjoong was goated with something like “destroy your passion and you may get Mingi and the compass back” though they have no intention of actually following through with that. Hongjoong’s upset and feels backed into a corner so he burns the thing he loves. The thing that creates music, the piano. He also smashes the other representation of his passion and status, the ship. He gets his eye burned from the embers flying of the ship from the fire. He also finds a key in the wreckage of the smashed ship though we’re unclear what it opens. 5b(?). Mingi gets thrown into the back of the adversaries’ car. I believe they’re going to meet up with their gambling friends but that’s not important as they never make it. I think they underestimate Mingi and MG uses this to his advantage and ditches them promptly blowing them up. (What a badass!) In the wreckage he finds the compass which is VERY similar to the one HJ had in Wonderland. You could also say that the end of Wonderland and Thanxx MVs are the same place because of the road (though roads tend to have similarities in general) but that would further serve the connection between WL and THX (same place, different dimension). 6. TL;DR: lots of theory/lore. Don’t Stop, Wonderland, and Thanxx are most likely connected. ATEEZ are badasses that shouldn’t be easily underestimated. 7. Edenary did produce this. To me it sound different because there’s so much space in the vocals and I think that’s something new for all of us. Definitely not my favorite track but I’m SO here for the lore implications!

So for don’t stop the lore is that this is halateez and because they’re wanted by their dimensions government they had all of their stuff taken away from them (their compass, the ships key, the map, and the deed to their ship) so the boys in the pawn shop are stealing back their deed to the ship (they found it in the safe), San and woo are trying to win back their map in a poker game, they lost, the pawn shop boys came in to make sure they still got the map, Mingi blew up the car because he needed their compass from inside of the car and then Hong is looking for the black key, he couldn’t find it and got mad, broke the ship and found the key inside of the ship (when he threw the ship he got something in his eye, hence the pain and the eye patch at the end of the video) and then they all meet back up at the end to take their ship back I know that’s a lot but that’s what I’ve gathered from theory Twitter 😂😂😂

It was certainly less vocal focused and didn't have that classic end of an ateez song moment that makes you feel like you're ascending. However I do find the chorus to be a real earworm and the raps were good. BUT the video is excellent I think it's their clearest visual storytelling yet and the acting is great.

It is indeed still Edenary on the production side of things. I just feel that since it wasn’t an official comeback they decided to test a new sound out.
