2nd of 8 Posts for July: 60 videos to go for the great purge. I've cut up to 4 minutes out of 10 minute videos. I'm learning so much about how I want future videos to look (or not look) so this is helpful for anyone watching past videos but the next ones will get better.
TODAY'S POST: We started filming this one April 2022, over a year ago. I didn't want to release this until The Bolting Bible was done and Extreme Gear had Titan's bolts in stock. I find videos that take me forever end up way better than others that I do quicker. I don't know if it's because I get to spend a year learning about the one thing, if it forces me to narrate which in turn makes for a better video compared to break and talk as I go, or I just get better at editing a year later?
Description: Krabi bolting fund is replacing bolts and installing new routes with titanium because the salty air + the limestone makes steel dangerous quickly, even stainless. But that is expensive! They use an uncertified titanium bolt from china and so we tested it, with them in Krabi, and again with our bolt buster equipment in Limestone in Nevada. This was our first time installing and testing U bolts or staples as some call it, so it was fun to see HOW they broke.
