Always great to see you uploaded an episode and that I have to look forward to when back from my ( sometimes ) shitty work. Will be a awesome way to start weekend. As most times, dropping you a like now and will watch in 5 hours or so of this comment, lol. Falcon and Winter Soldier is also a series i'l rewatch with you but only next week, when episode 6 will be over so I can just binge watch them, lol. Have a awesome weekend ! Edited : Got to watch it and yeah, that was a good episode, Love sausage was..disturbing...especially with Frenchie's comment to keep a open mind...Priceless..

What a GREAT note to take away from that! I am sure you're quite right in the intention of picking that song! You have definitely earned your Captain's epaulets with that one!!

What a tremendous performance from Shawn Ashmore as Lamplighter. So much from an actor who hasn't had a real chance to be respected. "Don't be so close-minded!" I LOVE how egalitarian Frenchie is when it comes to... anything. You get the feeling that he is the ultimate non-apologist when it comes to anything that doesn't directly harm anyone else (or seems that way). This is one of my favorite episodes in S2. There's the uncomfortable alignment between Butcher and Annie, They both realize that they are two sides of the Hughie coin and we really see that he is someone Butcher cares about even, dare I say, more than Becca. He survived thinking Becca was dead. But Hughie? Not so easily. The Church of the Collective thread is having so much fun at Deep's expense. I think he will always be the odd man out. Sad because he's just, well, pitiful (IRL, that would be AWFUL—here, it's just so much fun!!). I think A-Train is just unredeemable, but essentially just a mess. He's a danger to others, but not as much as himself. Frenchie and MM are really the most nuanced characters on this show, with Kimiko a close third. I cannot wait for the third season because I ADORE all those three.

There's a moment in this episode that I absolutely love that is weirdly specific - when we first see A Train and Deep at the HQ of the Church the background music is Orinoco Flow by Enya. The chorus of the song is "Sail away, sail away, sail away". This is a massive nod to the crazy nautical themes of Scientology and the fact that L Ron Hubbard operated the church from a ship called the Freewinds in international waters for years. Absolute genius writing, I laughed out loud the first time I saw the scene :)
