Getting a boat wrapped on a rock is hard.  Getting it pulled off can be harder if the water wants to fight you.  I learned that water makes the force move all over the place and sometimes a 3:1 isn't enough to pull it off if you are fighting the water directly.  D Links are stronger than the welds that hold them on.  The 2nd half of this video is pull testing different d links on a thwart.
