Nothing against the remake but that one was creepy as hell with that ventriloquist weirdo who blended into the damn walls. The opening scene too was so scary too. However, was annoying how the motive was never found out. It was my favorite out of the franchise, but no hate to the others. I can Imagine David watching it since he hates Home Invasions and it shows this man hiding in the home expertly. I couldn’t take the Psycho remake seriously because of Vince Vaughn, I loved how they used the OG soundtrack though, that’s it. With the point on ultra woke feminism/ token gay characters I agree. As a bisexual woman and hardcore feminist I think the whole “Girl power will save the day” yada yada with a bunch of Mary Sues. I also didn’t like Deena in Fear Street 1994 because of how emotionally abusive she was towards Sam. While I appreciated having the sapphic leading ladies, they made the relationship toxic af. The way Deena went from “I hate you” and being rude to Sam despite being the one to end the relationship to sacrificing the best characters because “I love her”. If I were Sam I wouldn’t have gotten back together with her. Thankfully she got more tolerable in the other movies. Sarah and Hannah in 1666 were actually a good couple and were good lesbian representation.
