Welcome to the couple of new patrons since the last post. Thanks so much for the support! It is much appreciated.

Now, just like last month I'd love to share some stats with you guys. First off, money transparency stuff. Last month's total server fees were $76.90. This is the first month that InflateVids has been fully run, so I'm expecting this figure to stay about the same if not rise a little because more and more people are still discovering this website.

Before taxes, this is $40 for the server, $5 for storage and another $18.55 for extra bandwidth. I expect bandwidth costs to rise for the next couple of months, since more videos are getting uploaded and most importantly more videos get viewed.

For other statistics. In January, another 419 people decided to sign up to the website, 306 new videos got uploaded and the like button got clicked another 2000 times (in comparison to last post with stats).

Also compared to last post, videos across the site got a total of 31.000 new views! Since 2855GB in bandwidth got used (outbound), that is roughly 92MB per video view. Of course pictures are also stored on the storage service, so we can not be 100% certain.

More updates

Since I have, in the words of Jeremy Clarkson, "suddenly become unbusy" I can be more active for developing new features on the website. This means, more updates! I will try to do weekly updates, and am also planning a monthly video update. That update might also go up on the new InflateVids brand account on the website, https://tube.inflatevids.xyz/@InflateVids (why I haven't made this sooner, don't know), but you guys will be the first to get it.

For the upcoming week, it's mostly going to be small bug fixes and behind the scenes stuff to make production quicker. 

Verification requests

Since I have more free time, the "verify before uploading nudity" rule will be enforced. This doesn't mean an immediate strike when breaking the rule, but instead will have a maximum of a week after upload to verify. This means that some videos might get removed from the site on February 8th, but nothing too major. Users may also get emailed with a reminder to verify.

Why? Well, we want to be sure to never (accidentally) host videos with nudity from minors. Therefor, people will either have to be the age of consent, or 18+, whichever is higher in their country. Everyone who is verified, gets a little check mark next to their name (like on Twitter). ID pictures uploaded during verification are always deleted after verifying and do not get stored anywhere.
