Hi peeps,
Spending my mornings doing art the last week or so was the best decision I took this year so far, and I wanted to share my pages so far with you.

The two little colourful sketches above were one of the most enjoyable exercise I did lately. I used some posca pen to draw an outline of my reference first, and then used a pen to sketch out the details of the form within the colour. Having to look at the shape of the overall character rather than deconstructing it into its details was very fun, and somewhat challenging.
This technique gives such a crisp graphic look to the sketches, very different from what I usually gravitate towards, but nevertheless refreshing to my practice.

The sketch above left was supposed to be a bit more finished, but I had completely forgotten how annoying the paper of this sketchbook is with any medium that requires a good amount of water, so my surface started breaking down and muddying the colours really quickly, and I ended up giving up on it.

The two sketches above will probably become sticker designs, as I really like both of them!

And finally, this last sketch was meant to be only tiny and rough, and ended up taking up the entire page (the sketchbook is A3, so it isn't a small sketch, haha). I even had to extend the boundaries of the page with some taped paper to be able to finish it in full. XD
I have a number of composition in mind based on this rough concept, so you'll probably see it explored more on future pages.
That's it for me today, but I hope you are all well and are having a wonderful week-end!
Take care peeps and speak soon, M
