Hi peeps,
Here's the finished second small painting!
Here's "Rainy Days".
I have been using my SketchbookCo Lord of the Rings sketchbook for these, which has thick 300gsm cold press watercolour paper inside, and it is an absolute delight (Autumn, if you ever see this : You're a gem.).
For those of you not familiar, SketchbookCo creates sketchbooks out of books.

I am genuinely enjoying working small at the moment, I feel like I can explore concepts with less pressure.

That is totally it! It IS so relentless. It seems as if there is nothing but bad news coming at us from all angles. In part because so many of the things that bring us joy have already been removed from the equation. It's not easy.
