Hello everyone,
Here's your first Daily Doodle Diary batch of 2021! :)
I took a portion of January off from the diary as there was just too much chaos and exhausting things to deal with and my brain felt a little too stretched as it was, but I have managed to pick up the habit again the last few days. And I've been enjoying it thoroughly!

Here's the diary I chose this year, after a couple of failed purchases.
Many of the diaries I looked at had terrible paper, grouped Saturday and Sunday on the same page, or were the wrong size, but I finally found this one on Ebay.
It still isn't quite as cute and good quality as my 2020 one, but I think I'll have to accept that that one was a fluke, haha!
This new one is A6, and has decent enough paper that my pens don't bleed through too much. The main downside are the dark lines on each day, which come in the way of drawing a little. But I'm sure I'll get used to it.
I have 2 other diaries that I bought initially but ended up not being adequate. I don't want to throw them away, so if anyone has any ideas on how I could use them, let me know! ;)

I started off easy, with messy doodles and bright colours.

This last spread is probably my favourite so far. I worked without reference and just allowed myself to relax and have fun.
I am slowly finding my motivation and excitement to draw and create again, and these doodles have been instrumental in reconnecting me with that pleasure and passion.
This is how far I have gotten for the time being, but I'll keep you updated with regular batches, as I did last year!
Have any of you taken up the challenge too?
If you have, I'd love to see your work!
Feel free to tag me on social media with #myriamdailydoodles and I'll repost you in my insta stories!
I hope you are all well,
Sketchbook PDF will be uploaded tomorrow!
Take care lovely people,
Love, M
