Update Post + New Small Painting

This post is a little update regarding all the plans I mentioned in my previous update post, and a quick overview of how things are going so far. 

First off, let's start with some art.

✦ Hollow Crow 2.0

I just finished this small painting, to unwind a little from the more complex concepts I have been working on.
I explored my Hollow Crow concept in a little more depth for this one, as I really like the imagery, and it is probable it will appear again in the future. ;)

✦ Last 2 paintings in the 5 paintings series

I have 2 paintings left to finish from the project I set myself on in September, namely "Rapunzel" and "Heartstrings".

I did already attempt to paint Heartstrings, in fact, it was the very first piece I set about painting, but it went quite wrong and I really disliked the result almost immediately, so I set it aside, and decided to revisit it once I have worked on a few of the others.

I am thinking of completely changing the pose and composition and I have a few ideas already, so I'll update you on how it goes once I start work in earnest. 

As for Rapunzel, you guys convinced me that the sideways reclining pose was more interesting so I have decided to attempt the piece with that composition in mind.
I am still in the process of redrawing the final sketch, and I will keep you updated!

Next, let's talk Patreon. 

You may have noticed that I failed in my goal of designing my Patreon page, as I have simply run out of time the last few weeks to do all the things I set out to do. I completely overestimated myself I think. But it will happen! I just need to wrap up a few things first. 

✦ Pending physical rewards

Namely, sending all the pending rewards for all of you $20 and $35 peeps!

You guys are seriously so god darn amazing, I truly struggle to fully comprehend just how lucky I am for your eternal patience and support.
I can't apologise enough for the delay in sending your rewards, but I am absolutely getting there! Your packages are mostly ready and are only waiting for one more print and they will be on their way in the next week or so hopefully. 

I think I need to start facing the fact that my painting have evolved and now take me a lot more time than they used to, so painting prints take longer to create in turn.
I will be working on coming up with a solution asap but in the meantime, thank you all so damn much for being so patient and lovely with me while I create your pieces. 

✦ November Rewards

November rewards will start dropping soon, although there might be a little delay with the Sketchbook PDF, as I didn't get that much sketching done in October since I was mostly painting. I will be sitting down and sketching soon so that I can make sure I can give you something with a little more substance. :)

So you can expect the PDF to be a little more toward the end of the month. 

✦ Book of Sketches and 2021 Calendar

I mentioned back in September that I was hoping to find some time to put together a book of my favourite sketches in October. 

Well, that didn't happen, evidently, haha. 

I ended up being utterly swamped with the painting project and Youtube videos I have to create for various commitments, so the Sketchbook went on the back-burner.
However, it will happen, hopefully first thing in the new year, and I will still need your input when I start working on it. 

I'm going to stop giving myself a timeline for now because honestly, the stress of missing my own self-imposed schedules is seriously getting to me, so I'm going to let it happen when it does. XD

I hope that is ok, sorry if this is disappointing! I want to make sure that when I tell you I plan on doing something, I am being self-aware enough that I know for sure I can get it done when I say I will.
I thought I was, but I think I am overestimating my self and I need to re-ajust some things. 

The same thing happened with Month of Fear, and the plan to create a 2021 calendar. I simply didn't have the time. Hopefully I will manage to create a 2022 calendar next year!

I genuinely can't believe Christmas is so close, bu here we are. 

So, as I do every year, I will have a holidays shop sale starting next week (exact date tbc).
As usual, you will get to know a day or so before anyone else, and patrons will get a discount code 5% higher than the public code. 

New prints will be added to the shop, including prints of "Struck", "Nephila", "Nurture", as well as new stickers and mini-print packs. 

More details to come soon!

This month's plans are simple : 

✦ Finish painting all 5 pieces. 

✦ Send and upload all pending and up-to-date Patreon rewards. 

✦ Upload my second Youtube video. 

✦ Organise my shop sale and process all those orders. 

That's it!

It might not sound super exciting, but it is going to be plenty enough for me to keep extremely busy. 

We are in lockdown in the UK at least until December, and this to-do list is going to furnish that time aplenty.
