Hey everyone,
Here's another batch of Daily Doodle Diary pages!
I managed to pick up momentum with it again, and so far haven't missed a day, even when it meant drawing something very rough and quick.
I like how colourful this batch is too, even though the diary paper is quite thin and the colours bleed through easily. I'm not precious about this sketchbook, I want it to feel lived in and be an experience rather than a treasure, so I'm fine with bleed-through and messiness. Although I do have to be careful not to overwork my lines too much or it feels like they could easily tear through...
As you know, I have been going through a patch of not feeling like sketching, and I find that when that happens, using pens to sketch instead of pencil really helps me kickstart the process and get in the mood. So I have been using felt tip pens and brush pens a lot lately.

The baby on June 8th is probably one of my favourites from this batch. I drew it without reference, so it looks a bit odd in places, but it just fitted in the page so well, and seems so serene...

11 is one of those that sort of got ruined by the next drawing I did, but I don't mind it.

For some reason the paper seems to take highlighters reasonably well, but felt-tip pens not so much...They bleed through quite significantly. Oh well.
13 was one of those, "Ah damn I forgot to do my drawing at 12am" kinda drawing, but I still sort of like it, haha.

More bleed through, and some very odd, very "stream of consciousness" type of pieces here.

A pop of colour and a drawing in pen from reference.

That light blue pen is my current favourite to draw with.
And that's it for this batch!
My favourites this time are probably the baby of the 8th and oddly perhaps, day 20!
What about you guys?
I hope you are all well.
Take good care of yourselves and speak soon!
