New Painting : Tether !

Hi everyone, 

I have finally finished "Tether"!

I am really happy with this one, in a way I haven't been for a while. It might feel quite different to some of my previous work, as it is brighter and somewhat more vibrant, but the theme speaks to me and I thoroughly enjoyed using lighter elements and a bigger value range. 

If you are familiar with a lot of my older work, you'll notice that I pushed things further than usual with the background and tried to step away from my comfort zone and natural tendencies.
Including more complex backgrounds to my pieces is going to be a learning curve, I have no doubt, but the extensive amount of preparation I put into planning this piece and its various components really helped me see the value in creating narrative and intricate background elements. 

I learned a lot from the entire process for this piece, from doing thumbnails to experimenting with composition and colour in my Ipad, all the way to painting big and using acrylics almost exclusively. 

It was a delight to create from start to finish, and has me very excited to jump into my next piece!

So what now?

♦ This piece will be the center theme of my Youtube channel relaunch video.
I will be hard at work editing over the next few days to try and get the video ready to Premiere some time next week. I hope to be able to release it to all of you patrons early, although I cannot quite guarantee that yet, as I'm not sure how difficult the process will be yet. We will see, but if I can, you guys will be the first to see the video!

♦ Whatever happens, you will get a full timelapse of the painting process anyway, as well as a Process PDF as soon as I can put it together (I am still working, although nearly finished, with the Reef PDF). 

♦ This painting will also be the print for June.
I have another smaller piece in progress for May, and once I am done with that one, I will be able to send out $20 and $35 rewards. $10 and $15 will go out a little before, as I have those ready to print already. 

♦ To coincide with the relaunch video, I will be updating my online store, and I will be uploading prints of Pinned, Reef, Parasite, Refuge, Sneyel, and Tether.
I will also upload a few sticker designs from previous Patreon series, namely Snake hands, Shattered Back and the Ladybird design.
