Acrylic Paintings + Video Early Access

Hi peeps,

How are you all?

I just finished this week's Youtube video, and as I have to make is accessible to my sponsor for review, I figured you might also enjoy getting early access to it!

I am going to take this opportunity to also show you my latest paintings and my adventures in acrylic paint land. :)

Here's "Pinned"!

This one started as a photo study (you can see the reference below) but I was feeling good while painting it, so it morphed into this.

I really like this small piece, it just flowed out of me pretty organically, and it felt rather satisfying to be happy with something after struggling with the bigger painting I showed you a few days ago.

By the way, this will be the print for January for my 20+ patrons! <3

Here are a few process pictures

And here are the references I used!

The last one is the reference for a quick acrylic sketch I did while I was taking a break from Pinned :

This one was done straight in acrylic, with no undersketch.

Sorry, not much text today as I have to keep working on Process Videos, but I hope you enjoyed these little pieces as much as I enjoyed creating them!

I am loving acrylics so far, and I'm sure I'll have more to share with you soon :)

I hope you are all well,

Take care lovelies,

M

Hello Myriam! These are so beautiful. Would you ever consider releasing a digital print for the woman with the butterfly on her face on your shop? I know you cant really send things in this time. So wonderful!

These paintings are really beautiful, no matter what medium you use Myriam, you create great pieces! It is really fun using acrylic, that was the 1st medium I used from leftovers of my daughter that got me hooked into painting and got me small student grade color palette that I actually tried mixing colors with. Those little house ornaments are so adorable. Enjoy the new medium!

Im going to save watching it till it's on YouTube to help the algorithm, but I absolutely love this concept. It makes me think how as we try to move on from past pain (like a little grub thats been pupating in our spirit) our desire to change (like a buttefly) can get messy and actually hurt us (the ink stains). However once the initial mess has flown away, we'll remain our strong and healthy, lighter for our trauma leaving us.
